|Murumba Pitch Music Band Breaks Up
Amapiano duo Murumba Pitch, consisting of Khathutshelo Mangolo and Emmanuel Mathye, has officially split. The announcement was made on Friday, 7 March 2025, leaving fans heartbroken. The duo, known for hit songs like Hamba Juba, Wena Dali, and Mohigan Sun, had built a strong reputation in the Amapiano industry with their signature sound and energetic performances.
In a formal statement, they confirmed that after a meeting on 6 March 2025, they mutually agreed to terminate their partnership and contractual relationship with immediate effect. While they did not disclose the reasons for their split, they emphasized that both artists would continue pursuing music independently. They assured fans that they remain focused on new opportunities and personal musical growth.
Murumba Pitch was founded in 2012 in Venda, Limpopo, and their journey to success was not without challenges. In an interview with Daily Sun in October 2024, they shared how they faced difficulties, including financial struggles and inconsistent bookings. Despite these hardships, they always worked together to find solutions rather than blaming each other, which helped them stay strong for over a decade.
Their statement also mentioned that they are working together on a fair and amicable division of business interests related to the Murumba Pitch brand. While their partnership has ended, their contributions to the Amapiano genre remain significant, and fans will be eager to see what each artist brings as they embark on their solo careers.
